Jeff Schultz has been photographing in Alaska since arriving in 1978 at the age of 18. A native of the Bay Area, California, Jeff moved to Alaska chasing his dream of building a log cabin and living off the land. While that never materialized, he knew he was home as soon as he arrived.
Jeff specializes in outdoor and location images, especially outdoor recreation and adventure. Since 1981 Jeff has photographed corporate and editorial assignments as well as stock images.
His clients have included: TIME magazine, Parade, Boy’s Life, Land's End, ExxonMobil, Sports Illustrated, Eddie Bauer, Cabela's, Scholastic, ALASKA magazine and more. His stock images have appeared worldwide for advertising, editorial, corporate, textbooks and retail products. Jeff has also been the official photographer of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race since 1982.
In 1991 Jeff founded the niche stock photo agency, Alaska Stock Images in Anchorage, Alaska. Alaska Stock became the largest stock agency in Alaska before he sold it in 2012.
